Hello Hello Hello ………. OK, that’s a virtual echo and I think life online will remain like this for some time however Work Jobs Employment is now live… Yay!
I have little idea how popular this site will become or whether or not it will draw a single visitor but for me the creation of this site fills the need for a hobby so if your are reading this (and your not me) then welcome?
It’s a pretty crap time to be looking for a new job in anyone’s book and it’s not going to get any easier. A couple of weeks ago I found myself in the situation where my job (and that of many of my work colleagues) was at the risk of being made redundant. Thankfully I escaped the ‘chop’ on this occasion however many (in fact most) of my work colleagues were not so lucky.
If I’m being honest, the thought of being out of work terrified me. Like many folks I have 101 financial commitments. I have a mortgage, a wife and two kids to feed and in the weeks leading up to getting the news I was left thinking what the hell would I do if I found myself out of work. Read the full story
