		<description>Good idea to let references know exactly what job you are looking at. But by the time I get to them they vaguely remember. I tell them and ask about the fit.

Also, worth noting, you can&#039;t avoid giving your past managers. If you know the reference from one of them is going to be bad you need to get some peers to balance it if there are any.

Also, you can prep a reference as much as you want but you can&#039;t control me, the person checking the references. If your reference tries to hide information I will ask follow up questions. If he tries to avoid answering it&#039;s like a red light and I know I have to get more details about that.</description>
