I would also like to add that if you have participated in any volunteer work, you should treat this as work experience when you list it on your resume.  After all, you gained skills in those volunteer roles that you provided for free - something that is likely to be highly regarded by an employer.  Doing volunteer work shows that you have a passion enough for something to want to do it for free.</description>

		<description>I like your idea to arrange it in a functional way.  I used to organize mine chronologically as I had a very traditional career path.  However 3 yrs ago I took a career break to travel and volunteer and now have a very non-traditional resume!  I agree though, visiting foreign lands can be a plus in this &#039;globalized economy&#039;  I have experience in 30+ countries now, but I have to figure out how to market that to prospective employers!  It&#039;s all about emphsizing the value of being an &#039;global citizen&#039; and being someone that is willing to take smart risks and adapt to change.  I think anyone can &#039;sell&#039; a career break on their resume if they look at it in a business sense from the hiring manager&#039;s point of view.  Thanks for the information!</description>
