job searchHello Hello Hello ………. OK, that’s a virtual echo and I think life online will remain like this for some time however Work Jobs Employment is now live… Yay!

I have little idea how popular this site will become or whether or not it will draw a single visitor but for me the creation of this site fills the need for a hobby so if your are reading this (and your not me) then welcome?

It’s a pretty crap time to be looking for a new job in anyone’s book and it’s not going to get any easier. A couple of weeks ago I found myself in the situation where my job (and that of many of my work colleagues) was at the risk of being made redundant. Thankfully I escaped the ‘chop’ on this occasion however many (in fact most) of my work colleagues were not so lucky.

If I’m being honest, the thought of being out of work terrified me. Like many folks I have 101 financial commitments. I have a mortgage, a wife and two kids to feed and in the weeks leading up to getting the news I was left thinking what the hell would I do if I found myself out of work.

It’s been a long time since I had to look for a job and doing a quick Google in my search for advice brought a mixture of results.

My aim in launching this site is to provide a “one stop shop” for anyone who has recently found themeselves out of work or are looking for a new direction in their life from a career perspective. I don’t profess to being an expert but the principals that I will write about on this site are based on research, verified resources and feedback from friends and colleagues within the recruitment industry.

On the basis that it’s out there somewhere, my search for a more secure job will continue and I’ll share any top tips and advice as I progress on my own journey.

In the meantime, I hope you’ll find the resources and articles contained within our site of use to you during your own journeys

Cheers

Mark
